BIOGRAPHY

Alison is a multidisciplinary artist primarily focusing on watercolour,  gouache, and acryilc painting and illustration.  She also incorporates linocut printmaking, collage, mixed media and embroidery into her practice.  Dominant themes in her work include ancestral folk practices,  myth and story, the pagan wheel of the year, flora and fauna, the cosmos, symbolism, witchcraft, feminism, punk rock subculture, alchemy, depth psychology, esotericism, dreams, psychedelics, and the archetypes of the collective unconscious.  She is currently working on a large painting series which explore a mythopoetic approach to creation on themes connected to the archetypes of the Tarot.
